MY LAURENS ANCESTRY

Welcome to my family history website. This website is under construction. It currently contains information on my Crout and Finley ancestors. Information on my Madden, Pitts, and Cunningham ancestors will be added soon. I will also be adding some history of South Carolina and Laurens and a section on DNA and genealogy.

I did not compile this information alone. I owe first a great deal of debt to the ancestors who preceded me and lived lives of pain and glory, victory and defeat and have made me who I am.

I am also indebted to my research partners, among them Rendell Austin, Masolene Thompson, Marilyn Finley, Louis Robinson, Bobby Mills and Tyrone Williams. I do not mean to slight anyone, so if I have left someone out please credit my poor memory for the oversight.

You can help build this site and make it better. Please feel free to send me any photos or documents you may have and any stories about our ancestors that you have to share. If you find any incorrect or omitted information, please let me know so that I can correct it.
